Airport Transportation
Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport is located near Surcin, 18 km from the city center, and is served by two bus lines. Express bus line A1 -runs every 20 minutes and starts and ends at Slavija Square (center). The trip takes about 30 minutes. The bus also stops at the train station and in New Belgrade. Tickets can be bought from the driver and cost 400 dinars. Public bus 72 – runs every 30 minutes and starts and ends at Zeleni Venac (Green Market in the center). The trip takes about 40 minutes or longer, depending on traffic. For information on how to pay, see the Transportation section. Badges
All participants are required to wear their badges throughout the conference. Access to the scientific sessions is only possible with your personal name badge.

Cameras and Recordings
Electronic recording or excessive photography of presentation slides is prohibited in all lecture halls during all sessions. By registering for BELBI2023, participants agree to allow official BELBI photographers to record and reproduce their participation for marketing and informational purposes.
Certificates
Certificates of attendance will be emailed to participants after the conference.
Coffee breaks
Coffee breaks are included in the program, and anyone with a badge is welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee with a snack.
Credit cards
There are numerous ATMs in the city where you can withdraw money 24 hours a day with your credit card if your card has one of these signs: Visa, Visa Electron, Plus, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro, Cirrus, American Express. All major credit cards are usually accepted in stores (Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro, Diners Club, American Express).
Currency
The official currency of Serbia is the dinar (RSD). Pounds sterling, US dollars and euros are the most widely accepted currencies for exchange. You will find numerous exchange offices in the city and some at the airport.

The electricity voltage in Belgrade is 220V. Electrical outlets are standard European with two round pins.

If you dial 112 from any phone, you will be connected to the emergency service. The control center will forward the call to the appropriate emergency services, depending on the nature of the emergency.

Insurance
Congress organizers accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to property during or as a result of the Congress. Please make sure that your own insurance is valid.

Language
The official language in Serbia is Serbian. The official alphabets are Cyrillic and Latin. Visitors from abroad can communicate in English. The official language of the conference is English.
Lunch
Lunch will be served buffet style and anyone with the appropriate fee type (Regular, Student I, and Industry) can join. Be sure to mention any special food requirements during the registration process, and inform the staff during lunch.

Parking
Space in the hotel parking lot is limited. Finding a parking space can be a bit difficult in Belgrade, but there are always parking garages in the city center, which are very cheap compared to other European capitals. The closest parking garage to the venue is “Vukov spomenik” on the corner of Kraljice Marije and Ruzveltova Street.
Belgrade is divided into three different street parking zones where the parking time is limited: in the red zone to 60 minutes, in the yellow zone to 120 minutes and in the green zone to 180 minutes. After the parking time has expired, the vehicle may not be parked in the same zones for the next 30 minutes. Metered parking hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; parking is free on Sundays. A blue zone is a zone with no time limit. It can be paid per hour or as a parking ticket for several hours. Conventional parking tickets can be purchased at kiosks throughout the city. The time of arrival must be noted on the ticket and affixed to the inside of the windshield. It is also possible to send an SMS with the vehicle’s license plate number (e.g., BG123456, without spaces) to the numbers 9111 for the red zone, 9112 for the yellow zone, 9113 for the green zone and 9119 for the blue zone from any mobile network.
Publication
All accepted abstracts and electronic versions of posters will be published after the conference and will be available for download.

Registration desks
The registration time is listed in the program, but someone will be there to meet you if you can not make it on time. The registration desk is located in the hotel lobby. There you will receive your name badge and conference materials. If you register online late, be sure to have a confirmation that you have paid the fee.

Time zone
Belgrade and Serbia are in the CET (Central European Time) zone – UTC+1. In summer Daylight Saving Time (DST) moves it to CEST – UTC+2.
Transportation
Bus lines 26, 27, 74, EKO1, 25, 25P, 33, 48, 65 and trams 7, 14, 2, 5, 6, 12, 10 operate near the Metropol Hotel. You can use the Moovit app or Google Maps to navigate public transportation.
Belgrade uses a newly introduced system for regulating public transport. It is a unified ticketing system that applies to buses, trams, and trolleybuses.
You can buy a paper weekly ticket for 800 dinars or a paper daily ticket for 120 dinars at the following addresses: Skender Begova 47, Stari grad; TC TrgRepublike, Stari grad; Knez Mihailova 6 (2nd floor), Stari grad; Deligradska 10, Savskivenac and Bulevar Mihajla Pupina 167, Novi Beograd.
We do not recommend buying paper time tickets, as the time runs from the moment of buying the ticket and not from the moment of boarding the bus.
Tickets can also be purchased by SMS, but you will need to buy a Serbian sim card. Once you have the sim card, just send an SMS to the number 9011 with the following text: for the time ticket (90 minutes) enter A90, for the day ticket A1, for the weekly ticket A7 and for the monthly ticket A30. You will receive confirmation and you must show the text when the inspectors enter the vehicle. The prices are 50 dinars for the time ticket, 120 dinars for the day ticket, 800 dinars for the weekly ticket and 2200 dinars for the monthly ticket.
In minibuses, which have the letter E in front of the number, you can only buy a ticket from the driver for 200 dinars.
In Belgrade there are free night lines that run from midnight to 4 am. They run every hour and depart from three locations in the city: Republic Square, Slavija Square and the Municipal Council building of New Belgrade. The routes are different from those during the day, so pay attention.

The average maximum daytime temperature in Belgrade in June is 27.0°C (80.6°F). The average minimum temperature drops to 16.3°C (61.34°F). Average rainfall in June is moderate at 88 mm (3.4 inches).

Working hours
Most stores and grocery stores are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., but there are some that are open around the clock. Large shopping centers are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the week. Banks and offices have normal working hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
